It's no accident that we are visiting the Wine Country in September, also called "Crush." Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has proclaimed September as "California Wine Month." It's that important! Harvest is when the grape growers reap the rewards of their labors of love. Watch the colors of the landscape change, take in deep breaths of the crisp, fall air, and savor the aromas of the season that are Napa. To read more about "Crush,"

The dress code for the KOV National Congress is Napa Casual. Cool mornings and evenings make the “layered look” a smart choice for day-to-evening activities in the Napa Valley. Based on historical averages, the temperature in this rural area can be expected to range between 53 degrees and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in September. It is recommended that light jackets be worn in the evenings and comfortable, sturdy, flat-type footware be considered for all events, especially when walking in the vineyards and on uneven surfaces. Jeans are considered casual in Napa. One final note: Wineries can be chilly and some events will be held outside; if you tend to be cold, drape a sweater over your shoulders or tuck away a light jacket or coat. Jackets can be left securely on the motorcoach if you find you do not need them.
